Robert L. Marra, 68, of Meadowlands, died Friday, November 20, 2015, in Donnell House.
He was born December 8, 1946, in Washington, a son of the late Joseph and Katherine Comfort Marra.
A 1964 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School, Mr. Marra was appointed by Governor Richard Thornburg as Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission at the Meadows Racetrack, where he worked for 30 years.
He was a constable for Chartiers Township and a member of the State Harness Racing Commission and the Knights of Pythias, Canonsburg.
Mr. Marra was a generous person who enjoyed spending time with family.
He was Protestant by faith.
Surviving are a brother, Arthur (Patricia) Marra of Washington, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Joseph Marra.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 24th, with Pastor Daniel Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 331 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301.
