Mary Margaret Hutchins, 73, of Prosperity, died Saturday, November 14, 2015, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1942, in DuBois, a daughter of Bernard S. Carter and Margaret Shew Carter.
After graduating from high school, Mrs. Hutchins attended DuBois Business College.
She worked as a cashier at Jefferson Avenue Foodland for five years, before working at Giant Eagle for 11 years. Mrs. Hutchins was also an EMT for Morris Township VFD for 16 years.
She enjoyed animals and crocheting.
On July 13, 1963, she married Leslie Alexander Hutchins, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Stacey Hutchins (Victoria) of Muse, Anthony Hutchins (Judy) and Christopher Hutchins, both of Washington; a daughter, Bernadine Fowler (Stanley) of Amity; a stepson, Leslie Hutchins Jr.; four grandchildren, Angela and Kristine Hutchins and Colette and Alexandria Fowler; and a great-grandson, Anthony Hutchins.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, November 19th. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Amity.
