H. Maxine McCombs, 71, of Houston, died Saturday, November 14, 2015, in St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born August 29, 1944, in Washington, a daughter of the late Robert Elmont Clark and Helen Dorothy Wood Clark.
Mrs. McCombs worked as a customer service representative at Personalized Distribution Systems in Eighty Four for eight years. Previously she was a sales clerk at Lang’s in the Washington Mall.
Mrs. McCombs was an avid reader who enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and cats.
She attended Central Assembly of God Church, Houston.
Surviving are a son, Russell (Dawn) McCombs of Greenville, South Carolina; three daughters, Pam McCombs of Houston, Billie LaMere of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Reita (Bill) Linton of Pataskala, Ohio; a brother, H. Donald (Myrtle) Clark of Prosperity; two sisters, Sandra K. “Peggy” Shriver of Washington and Linda (Oren “Buck”) Kahlbaugh of Prosperity; nine grandchildren, Benjamin McCombs, Adam McCombs, Holly McCombs, James Weaver III, Joshua Hilbert, Rachel LaMere, Erik LaMere, Jenna Linton and Nicholas Linton.
Deceased are three brothers, Bob, Dudley and Bill Clark; and two sisters, Betty Cox and Dorothy Baumgartner.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, November 19th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 331 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301.
