Dorothy Lynn Lovat

Dorothy Lynn Lovat, 63, of Scenery Hill, died Thursday, November 12, 2015, in Washington Hospital, following a 10-month illness. She was born February 12, 1952, at Mitchell Air Force Base, Long Island, New York, a daughter of the late Donald McAlister and Beryl Stroud McAlister. A 1970 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School, Mrs. Lovat worked for 37 years as a RIS-PACS Specialist in the radiology department of the Washington Hospital. She enjoyed reading, spending time at home, and watching Pittsburgh sports team on television. Mrs. Lovat was a member of Beallsville Methodist Church. On April 22, 1972, she married John J. Lovat, who survives. Also surviving are two brothers, James A. (Linda) McAlister of Export and Dennis M. (Barb) McAlister of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 till 7 p.m., the time of service, Monday, November 16th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Max Miller officiating.
