Betty L. Cummins Sprowls, 78, of Washington, died on Friday, November 6, 2015, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born on February 9, 1937, in Washington, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Carpenter Cummins.
A graduate of Claysville High School, she was a homemaker.
Betty loved to travel.
On September 11, 1953, she married Ralph E. Sprowls, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Linda (Ralph) Arent, of Washington; five sisters, Mona, Dorothy, Shirley, Mary and Judy; a grandchild, Kristan Arent, a great grandchild, Madelyn Burns, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Robert, three brothers, Robert, Charles, and Baby James, and two sisters, Maureen and Frances.
Friends will be received on Thursday, November 12, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington.
Burial in Fairmount Cemetery will be private, and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
