George Darrell Fitch, Sr.

George Darrell Fitch, Sr., 82, of Washington, died Saturday, October 31, 2015, in his home. He was born June 17, 1933, in Canonsburg, a son of William E. Fitch and Lillian McConnell Fitch. Mr. Fitch worked as a welder for Combustion Engineering and was the owner of the 19th Hole in Eighty Four. He enjoyed go-cart racing and bowling. On March 23, 1973, he married Edith Izora Newell, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Jeff Rybarski (Chris) of Scenery Hill, Scott Rybarski (Tammy) of Monongahela and George Fitch Jr. (Debbie) of Ellsworth; a daughter, Kim Pesto (John “Cha”) of Southview; five grandchildren, Joshua Fitch, Jeremy Fitch, J.C. Pesto, Tyler Pesto and Courtney Orgavon. Deceased is a brother, William. Friends will be received Thursday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 6th, with Pastor Marty Bausman officiating. Burial will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery.
