Terry Lee “Sarge” Ritchie, 69, of Washington, died on Sunday, October 25, 2015, in Golden Living Nursing Home.
He was the son of the late James and Jeanette Grimm Ritchie Clark.
Mr. Ritchie was a retired United States Army Ranger. For his service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he was awarded two Purple Hearts, Bronze Star Medal with VDev, Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Emblem, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, Presidential Unit Citation with Palm, Parachutist Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, three Good Conduct Medals, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Dev, 3 Service Stripes, and Republic of Vietnam Civil Actions Unit Citation.
He was a member of the American Legion, in Silver Springs, Maryland.
Surviving are a stepson, Daniel Ritchie, of New England; two brothers, Lewis Dale Clark, of Washington, and Clarence J. Clark, Jr., of El Paso, TX; a sister, Arlene Kosol, of McKees Rocks; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother George, and a sister Josephine.
Friends will be received Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 29, 2015.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
Military Rites will be accorded graveside, by the Edwin Scott Linton, Post 175 of the American Legion.
