Goldie Fields, a lifetime resident of Washington, died Sunday, October 11, 2015.
Mrs. Fields was born in Glencoe, Ohio, in 1916, a daughter of Calvin and Bertha Dunfee.
She was married to Herbert L. Fields.
She was a devoted member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which provided her and her husband the opportunity to serve a full-time mission in the Washington D.C. Temple in Kensington, Md. She loved her fellow man.
Mrs. Fields would find ways to build loving relationships with neighbors, friends and family. For many years, she served her community well as a volunteer for cancer and heart fund drives, Parents Anonymous, and she received an award for her work with the cerebral palsy organization.
Homemaking and family were her joy. She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor and generosity.
Surviving are a daughter, Judith Ward, of Palmyra, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Douglas and Cynthia Bowman, Christopher Ward, Kathy Burris, David Ward, Elizabeth Yarco and Emily Phillips; 31 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Andrews, of Washington.
