Helen Louise Orndoff, 74, of Washington, died Thursday, October 1, 2015, in her home.
She was born May 25, 1941, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Furman Adamson and Beatrice Lippencott Adamson.
Mrs. Orndoff graduated from Jefferson – Morgan High School and worked at Gospel Treasures Bookstore for 16 years.
She loved reading and had a God-given talent for finding underground water for others, never charging for her services.
Mrs. Orndoff was an active member of Church of Christ where she taught religious classes.
On March 30, 1960, she married Frederick Earl Orndoff, who died April 26, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Orndoff (Wendy Jo) of Gulf Shores, Alabama; two daughters, Kimberly Taylor (Jim) of Washington and Penny Orndoff (Randy) of Waynesburg; two sisters, Erma Katchmark of Waynesburg and Sue Grable of Wesley Chapel, Florida; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Cheyenne, Kordell, Randall, Melissa, Chelsie Jo, and Kyler; and four great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Tyler, Alexis and Kasidee.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 5th, in Church of Christ, Allison Avenue, Washington, with David Deagel officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
