Evelyn Jane Lindsay, 94, of Washington, died Friday, October 2, 2015, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born June 26, 1921, in Washington, a daughter of John and Mildred Pfeiffer Mossburg.
Mrs. Lindsay worked as a cashier at A&P for 25 years.
She was a member of Third United Presbyterian Church, Lagonda Homemakers, Needle and Yarn of Mingo Park and Sew & Sew Club, and a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star 409.
On October 9, 1939, she married Louis Unicek, who died May 8, 1968.
On May 15, 1971, she married Wilbert Lindsay, who died July 13, 1987.
Surviving are a stepson, Lee Lindsay (Maryann) of Washington; a stepdaughter, Linda Lindsay (Jim) of Washington; a sister, Jessie King of Winchester, Tennessee; four step grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Piatt, and Amy (Bill) Neel and J. Aaron (Alicia) Grusofski and Evan (Christy) Grusofski; nine step-great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Blake and Lyla Piatt, Killian and Tallulah Neel; and Evan, Carter, Cullen and Indiana Grusofski; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three sisters, Helen Porter, Alice Richmond, and Freda Ross; and a brother, Thomas Mossburg.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 7th, with Rev. Thomas Bellhy officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
