Kermit "Jim" Meadows

Kermit James “Jim” Meadows, Jr., 68, of Washington, died Thursday, October 1, 2015, in his home. He was born October 14, 1946, in Butler, a son of the late Kermit James Meadows, Sr., and Sandra Carothers Meadows. Mr. Meadows served in the Army during the Vietnam War, earning a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze service star, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, one Overseas Bar, and a Sharpshooter Rifle Badge. He worked as a manager in the garment industry. Mr. Meadows was a member of the VFW and American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175. On August 19, 1984, he married Cindy S. Willison, who survives. Also surviving are his father-in-law, Charles Willison (Joan) of Wexford; brothers-in-law, Donald Willison (Carol) of Washington and Damon Willison (Emily) of Fox Chapel; sisters-in-law, Cathy King (Jeff) of Loretto and Lori Bowser (Brian) of Amity; an aunt, Nancy Lemons (James) of Waynesburg; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and his pets, Cleo and Prince. Deceased is his pet, Rocky, who died July 4, 2015. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 5th. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
