STEVE J. DASTA, formerly of Washington, PA., passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27, 2015, in Chandler, Arizona. The son of the late James and Florence Dasta, Steve was a 1957 graduate of Washington High School and attended Penn State University. He was an aeronautical mechanic for TWA and American Airlines for 45 years in New York, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Albuquerque, Dallas and St. Louis. He also trained Saudi Arabian mechanics while living in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Steve is survived by his four children: Leslie Dreier (Brad) of Loveland, CO, Christopher Dasta of Mesa, AZ, Greg Dasta (Marcella) of Westminster, CO, and Jeffrey Dasta of San Tan Valley, AZ; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Sisters Regina Felton of Tempe, AZ, Connie Verno (Bill) of Phoenix, AZ, and Fran Amanati (Rich) of Scottsdale, AZ, and brother, Paul Dasta (Patty) of Washington, PA also survive him.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Private burial will be held in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
