Donald Wayne Jones, Sr.

Donald Wayne Jones, Sr., 65, of Washington, died Saturday, September 26, 2015, in UPMC – Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born September 28, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late Charles L. Jones and Kathryn M. Baer Jones. Mr. Jones graduated from Trinity High School in 1967 and attended the City College of Chicago. He served in the United States Navy for 21 years. Mr. Jones was a member of First Christian Church, Washington, American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 and the Bears Club. On December 4, 1976, he married Joanne Rock, who survives. Also surviving are six sons, Darren W. Jones (Danielle) of Washington, Donald W. Jones II of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donald Parrish Jr. of Washington, Joel Parrish of Beaver County, Bryan Parrish of San Jose, California, and Michael Parrish of Washington; a brother, David C. Jones (Fran) of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Deceased is a brother, Richard Jones. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 1st, with Pastor Steve Smythers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
