Louis Lombardo, 83, of Washington, died Sunday, September 20, 2015, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born August 21, 1932, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Carmelo Lombardo and Letteria Viola Lombardo.
Mr. Lombardo was an Army veteran of World War II.
An executive chef, Mr. Lombardo was employed by Harry M. Stevens and Associates for 40 years, working mainly at the Adios Room at the Meadows Race Track and at Charles Town (West Virginia) Races.
He enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lombardo was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church.
On June 26, 1954, he married Irene E. Speicher, who died October 9, 2013.
Surviving are four sons, Joseph Lombardo of Ambridge, Carl (Joanne) Lombardo of Sarasota, Florida, Louis (Janet) Lombardo, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada and Samuel (Cathi) Lombardo of Washington; a daughter, Lisa Lombardo of Washington; a brother, Carl Lombardo of Canonsburg; a sister, Josephine Lauricia of Canonsburg; five grandchildren, Kelly Wooley, Jennifer Lombardo, Anthony Lombardo, Dean Lombardo and Carly Lombardo; four great-grandchildren, Grace Taylor, Grant Taylor, Brooke Wooley and Jillian Lombardo; and dear friends, Karen Sawhill and Don Thomas.
Deceased are an infant daughter, Marcy Lynn Lombardo; one brother, Samuel Lombardo; and two sisters, Nancy Jusullo and Connie Zelinski.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at Noon, Wednesday, September 23rd, with Rev. Jason Hefner officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
