Nancy Carol Logan McMahan Cukryznski Swaggard, 73, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015, in Donnell House.
She was born March 24, 1942, in Moundsville, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William R. and Beatrice F. Fisher Logan.
Mrs. Swaggard worked as a nurse’s aid and activity coordinator at Presbyterian Senior Care. She loved her patients and showed compassion for them wherever she worked.
Mrs. Swaggard was a kind and loving mother and grandmother.
She was Christian by faith.
She was the beloved wife of Donald Swaggard, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ted Cukryznski (Karen) of Prosperity and John Cukryznski of Washington; two daughters, Deborah Whipkey (William “Reed”) and Pamela Opfar (Donnie “Doc”), both of Washington; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Michael, Russell, Rachel, Jonathan, Daniel, Michelle, Dylan and Benjamin; and six great-grandchildren, Elijah, Emily, Naomi, Harper, Carter and Thomas.
Deceased are her first husband, John A. McMahan; her second husband, Theodore Cukryznski; and a brother, Russell Wayne Logan.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 12th, with her son, the Rev. Ted Cukryznski, officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
