Nancy Mae Maloy, 75, of Washington, died Friday, September 4, 2015, in her home.
She was born November 27, 1939, in Washington, a daughter of the late Berdell and Florence Smith Plants.
Mrs. Maloy graduated from Chartiers High School. A homemaker, she worked at Stimmell’s Greenhouse and Maloy’s Greenhouse, and, when younger, S.A. Mayer Jewelers. In addition, she and her late husband bred and raised Boer Goats.
Mrs. Maloy formerly attended Central Assembly of God Church.
On June 20, 1959, she married Harold E. Maloy, who died April 19, 2009.
Surviving are a son, Larry Maloy of Washington; two daughters, Shirley Hall (John) of Canonsburg and Amy Smith (Nathan) of Morgantown, West Virginia; two brothers, Raymond Plants of Washington and Vernie “Jack” Plants of Florida; eight grandchildren, Elyse, Mike, Bethany, Robbie, Jeremy, Kasey, Lauren and Kalina; and two great-grandchildren, Elora and Elana.
Deceased are two sisters, Shirley Collins and Lila McNeely, and a brother, Berdell Plants.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 9th. Burial will follow in Emmanuel Cemetery.
