Lawrence Alfonso Johnson Sr., 55 of Washington died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born August 13, 1960 in Washington the son of the late Roy Johnson and Eleanor Chandler Johnson. Lawrence graduated from Trinity High School in 1979. He was an avid sports fan and love his family and grandchildren. Suriviving are a son, Lawrence (Nikki) A. Johnson of Washington; two daughters, Tianna Mohamed of Washington and Portia Owens of Washington; two sisters, Cheryl Johnson of Washington and Kimberly Johnson of Washington; four grandchildren, Aaliyah, Zamiir, Kaylee and Jamil; long time companion, Tara Owens. Deceased are a brother, Roy “Jackie” Johnson Jr.; a sister, Ethel “Reni” Johnson. Friends will be received Friday, August 28, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where a service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., with Evangelist Mae Chandler officiating. Burial is private.
