Shirley Ann Gradert

Shirley Ann King Gradert, 77 of South Strabane, died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at home. She was born March 28, 1938 in Washington, the daughter of the late William E. King and Mary Wolf King. Shirley graduated from Washington High School and was an insurance agent at West Penn AAA for 18 years. She loved her children and grandchildren and never missed attending sporting events with them. On November 11, 1961 she married Charles Leroy Gradert, who died January 11, 2003. Suriving are a son, Steven (Missy) Gradert of West Alexander; a daughter, Susan (George) Zentkovich of Uniontown; a brother, Harold E. King of Washington; a sister, Linda Dunkle Crouser of Washington; two grandchildren, Andrew S. (Ashley) Gradert and Rebecca (Harold McCutcheon III) K. Gradert; two step children, George and Jessica Zentkovich; sister-in-law, Nancy King; brother and sister in-law, James and Jane Gradert. Deceased is a brother, James J. King; sister-in-law, Peg King. Friends will be received Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
