Florence Greco

Florence (Philomena) Mary Greco, 82, of Washington, died Friday, August 7, 2015, in her home. She was born February 23, 1933, in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of the late Vincent Donofrio and Rose Silvestri Donofrio. Mrs. Greco graduated from Waite High School, Toledo, Ohio, in 1951, and attended Davis Business School for two years. She briefly worked for Gulf Oil Company before working for Bobbie Brooks, then moved on to become the bookkeeper for PONY Baseball for 33 years. In addition, she continuously worked with her husband at Greco’s Upholstering. Since 1956, she has been a member of Immaculate Conception Church, where she belonged to its Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters groups. Also, she belonged to the Secular Franciscans. On November 5, 1955, in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Toledo, she married Joseph Anthony Greco, Sr., who died March 30, 2001. Surviving are four sons, Mark J. Greco and Steve A. Greco, both of Imperial, Joseph A. (Kim) Greco, II, and Anthony (Katya) Greco, both of Washington; two daughters, Dianna R. (Dr. James) Allen of McMurray and Denise Greco of Washington; five grandchildren, Michael (Rebecca), Lindsey, Jonathan and Andrew Allen, and Angelina Greco; siblings Vincent (Jean) Donofrio, Tony (Donna) Donofrio and Mary Siebenaller. Deceased are siblings, Joseph, Rocco, Madeline and John. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 12th, in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
