Walter Thomas Knox, 78, of Houston, died Thursday, August 6, 2015, in his residence.
He was born May 19, 1937, in Salt Lick, Kentucky, a son of the late Walter Knox and Myrtle Calvert Knox.
Mr. Knox graduated from Duquesne High School and owned Southwest Refreshments.
He and his wife were snowbirds, spending winters in Florida. Mr. Knox loved his cats and enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, golfing and spending time with friends.
On July 25, 2009, he married Dianne Simonelli, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Kenny Knox of Carnegie; two daughters, Kathy Lupi of Carnegie and Shannon Larson (Erik) of Sewickley; three sisters, Bette Knox of Florida, Shannon Exline (Ronald) of North Carolina and Peggy Kopke of Florida; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, Bobby Knox.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, August 10th. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
