Jeffrey Raymond Eidens, Sr., 53, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 2, 2015, in Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born on March 2, 1962, in Cambridge, OH, a son of Sue Eidens, of Cambridge, OH, and the late Robert R. Eidens.
Mr. Eidens was a graduate of John Glenn High School, in Concord, OH.
He had worked as a custodian for Trinity School District.
An avid horseman at the Meadowlands Racetrack, he was a member of the Meadowlands Sportsman’s Club, Golden Bridge 4-H, and West Virginia IBRA.
Jeff enjoyed NASCAR, and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
On March 12, 1988, he married Julie Ann Shuba, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Raymond “J.R.” Eidens, and companion, Shanon, and Zachary Eidens, both of Washington; two grandchildren, Jace and Whitney; four brothers, Richard (Sharon) Eidens, of Massillon, OH, Robert (Debbie) Eidens, of Hudson, OH, Charles Eidens, of Panama City Beach, FL, and Dana (Shari) Eidens, of Blacklick, OH; eight sisters, Patty (Norman) Wilson, of Hartville, OH, Robin (John) Green, of Oakwood Village, OH, Debbie Foss, of Massillon, OH, Connie (Jim) Back, of Mogadore, OH, Trina (Randy) Stoner, of Cambridge, OH, Tammy (Ron) Jeffery, of Stow, OH, Teri (Craig) Johnson, of Cambridge, OH, and Amy Higginbotham, of Danville, OH; his father-in-law, John Shuba, JR., of Washington; three brothers-in-law, John (Donna) Shuba, of Hickory, Mike (Sheila) Shuba, of Washington, and Kevin (Tara) Shuba, of Burgettstown; a sister-in-law, Kimberly Betts, of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Saturday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, LTD., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 9, 2015, with Pastor DiDonato officiating.
