Robert Leonard Hathaway, Jr., 71, of Washington, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, in his home.
He was born on July 5, 1944, in Washington, a son of the late Robert L. Hathaway, Sr., and Ruth May Siebert Hathaway.
A graduate of Washington High School, he was a member of Faith Community Church.
Mr. Hathaway worked for Matthews Foundry, as a laborer in Dormont, and as a painter for the Fort Pitt Bridge Works.
He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On June 20, 1998, he married Gayle McDonald Carter, who survives.
Also surviving are two stepsons, Scott J. (Michelle) McDonald, of Washington, and Steven C. (Jacque) McDonald, of Colerain, OH; a sister, Nancy Harris, of Dry Springs, CA; three grandchildren, Hannah, Connor and Kami McDonald; and two step-grandchildren, Katelyn (Scott) Landsberger, and Kyle Polanski; a nephew, Kent Harris.
A memorial service will be held at East Buffalo Presbyterian Church on Saturday July 25, 2015 at 11:00AM with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating.
