David John Rocks

David John Rocks, 60, of Imperial, passed unexpectedly, and went to be with The Lord on July 9, 2015. The son of the late Sophia and George W. Rocks, he was born in Washington, on March 13, 1955. A graduate of Washington High School, he was formerly employed by the Greater Washington Area Parks & Recreation Commission. For the past twenty years, Dave worked For Avis Car Rental at the Greater Pittsburgh Airport, where he was well-liked for his work ethic, punctuality, and sense of humor. Dave loved cars and enjoyed going to classic car shows throughout the region, always accompanied by lifelong friends from his hometown. He was a previous member of Central Assembly of God Church in Houston, PA. Along with his brother Tom, Dave played softball in the Ten Mile Valley Church League. Dave enthusiastically followed Little Prexie sports, as well as the Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling. He is survived by his brother, Thomas (Sandra) of Boswell, Somerset County, PA., his sister, Irene Rocks Kurdy of Bangor, Maine; a brother-in-law, Zolton Fodor of Coraopolis; a sister-in-law, Sally Rocks of Strongsville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by sisters Kathleen Adams and MaryAnn Fodor, and his brother George W. Jr. Friends will be received on Saturday, July 18, 2015, from 2 to 3, the time of Memorial Service, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington.
