John M. Lowery, Sr.

John M. Lowery, Sr., 54, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He had been ill since 2007. He was born July 12, 1960, in Washington, a son of the late John and Genevieve Anderson Lowery. Mr. Lowery worked for many years at Miller Centrifugal, retiring in 2007. He loved sports, muscle cars, fishing, and, most of all, his family. He loved walking in the woods with “his boys”; their sun rose and set on their beloved pappy. Mr. Lowery attended Abundant Life Baptist Church. On October 31, 1992, he married Carol Joy Wilson, who survives. Also surviving are a son, John Lowery, Jr.; a daughter, Telina (Richie) Knestrick; one brother, Daniel Bazzoli; two sisters, Belinda Lowery and Cecilia Lowery (Joe Ardeno), all of Washington; four grandsons, Franco and Dominick Canali and Nico and Mateo Knestrick; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Deceased are a brother, Dario Bazzoli, and a nephew, Joshua Ryan Lowery. A memorial service for John M. Lowery, Sr., will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 15th, in Abundant Life Baptist Church, 269 Cameron Road, Washington, with Rev. George Garancosky officiating.
