Virginia E. Mass, 92, of Washington, died Thursday, June 4, 2015, in Donnell House.
She was born March 7, 1923, in Washington, a daughter of Stanley William Parkinson and Nellie Almeda Daugherty Parkinson.
Mrs. Mass attended Trinity Schools and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed baking and traveling and dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Mass was a member of S.O.A.R, Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees.
On June 19, 1942, she married Charles Andrew Mass. They were married for 65 years before his death on November 30, 2007.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Mass (Patty) and Daniel Mass (Debbie), both of Washington; a sister, Patricia “Patty” Denman of Washington; three grandchildren, Danielle (Christopher) Yaquinto, Nicole Dalnoky (Jason) and Nathan Mass; great-grandchildren, Noah, twins Leah and Maya, and Ty Yaquinto, Landon, Gavin and Easton Dalnoky; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are brothers, Harold Beddow, Raymond Parkinson, Glenn “Buddy” Parkinson and three who died in infancy; and a sister, Esther Mack.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 8, with Pastor Kurt Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
