Sandra "Sam" Grubich

Sandra Lee “Sam” Grubich, 68, of Avella, died June 4, 2015, in Donnell House, following an eight-month illness. She was born December 13, 1946, in Allegheny County, a daughter of the late Evelyn Irene Ammon. Mrs. Grubich graduated from Peters Township High School and worked at Isaly’s as a clerk. An avid Steelers fan, she enjoyed playing bingo and going to the Dog House for breakfast with her best friend, Sis. In addition, she loved spending time with her granddaughter, Shayla. Mrs. Grubich kept meticulous care of her lawn and surrounding landscape. On December 17, 1976, she married Peter “Pete” Grubich, Jr., who died October 23, 2003. Surviving are a son, Bob Dummer (Tiny) of Hickory; a daughter, Cris Miller (Tom) of Avella; two brothers, Jay Dolinar (Sue) of Finleyville and David Dolinar (Debbie) of Peters Township; three grandchildren, Levi Miller, Shayla Miller and B.J. Dummer; and a great grandchild, Ayden Dummer Smith. Friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 8th. Burial will follow in West Middletown Cemetery.
