Veronica Soltys Guzzo

Veronica Soltys Guzzo, 87 of Hagerstown, MD, formerly of Amity, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 26, 2015. She was born February 4, 1928 in Shenley, PA, the daughter of the late Martin Soltys and Nellie Metchka Soltys. Veronica was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, studying natural medicine and spending time with her grandchildren. She also had a degree in reflexology. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. On August 14, 1954 she married Ralph Frank Guzzo Sr., who died January 18, 2011. Surviving are a son, Ralph Frank Guzzo Jr.; two daughters, Maria (Michael) Kartley of Hagerstown, MD and Victoria (Scott) Ritenour of Amity; two sisters, Katherine Rossi and Ann Corbin; four grandchildren, Krista Guzzo, Alina Sementa, Jaclyne Kartley and Lilyanna Ritenour; three great grandchildren, Jaidon, Peter and John. Deceased are two sisters, Josephine Chapp and Alice Harbison. Friends will be received Monday, June 1, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the time of the Blessing Service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
