Mike Smith, Jr.

Mike Smith, Jr., 67, of Washington, died Sunday, May 24, 2015, in his home. He was born September 3, 1947, in Fayette County, a son of the late Mike Smith, Sr., and Julie Ann Lutz Smith. Mr. Smith worked as a carpenter. He was Protestant by faith. On August 29, 1970, he married Nelsoline Bobik, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Mike Smith, III, (Ashley) and Christopher Smith, both of Washington; two daughters, Carmen Renea Miller (Everett, III) of Washington and Jennifer Marie Zack (Brian) of Brilliant, Ohio; three brothers, Danny Ray Lutz (Denise) and Joseph Gomez, both of Claysville, and Frank Gomez (Suzanne) of Washington; three sisters, Julie Ann Roux of Washington, Michelle Lutz of Imperial and Diane Nicewater of Washington; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Stephen Smith and Manuel Gomez; and two sisters, Barbara Ann Smith and Marlene Smith. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 29th. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
