Margaret "Peggy" Horne

Margaret “Peggy” Horne, 81, of Washington, died Saturday, May 23, 2015, in Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born July 1, 1933, in Washington, a daughter of the late Melvin E. Davis and Sara McDowell Davis. Mrs. Horne graduated from Hickory High School and worked as a bookkeeper at First Christian Church and Andy Brothers. She was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. On August 2, 1952, she married John H. Horne, who survives. Also surviving are a son, John E. Horne (Melanie) of Athens, Ohio; and two brothers, Robert M. Davis (Martha) of Martinsville, Virginia and John M. Davis (Jane) of Exton. Friends will be received from Noon till 2 p.m., the time of service, on Wednesday, May 27th, with Rev. Jason Hefner officiating.
