James Elden Jackson, 67 of Claysville, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at home.
He was born November 3, 1947 in Washington, the son of the late Everett Jackson and Leatha Mitchell Jackson.
James graduated from McGuffey High School and was a member of Zion Methodist Church.
He cared for his neighbors, loved his farm animals, lived on the farm all his life, had a heart for stray dogs and cats and names all of his farm animals.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Jackson of Texas, David Jackson of California; one daughter, Michelle Rowe of Georgia; two brothers, Dennis (Kimberly) Jackson of Claysville, Jon (Barb) Jackson of North Carolina; six grandchildren, Seth, Brett, Ashley, Ryan, Ben and Emily; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Sharon Jackson; foster sister, Ida Moore.
Friends will be received on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by a brief service by the family at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
