Mildred Rose Kelley
Caring and Kindhearted Soul
Mildred Rose Kelley, 83, of Washington, went home to be with her Lord, Monday, May 11, 2015, with her loving niece, Sue, by her side.
She was born June 2, 1931, in Buffalo Township, a daughter of the late Jack Prigg Kelley and Mary Christena Krugle Kelley.
Rose worked as an operator for Bell Telephone for 33 years. She cherished spending time with her beloved family and delighted in the simple pleasures in life. Rose enjoyed knitting, jigsaw puzzles, collections, nature, photography, writing poems and seeing the beauty in God’s every day gifts. She dearly loved her many dogs and cats; they were her treasures on earth.
A caring and kindhearted soul, Rose was like a second mother to so many of those who were blessed to be part of her life. Her niece and nephew, Sue and Mike Julos, were her constant companions and helped care for her so that Rose could live out her years contentedly in her home, which was always her favorite place on earth.
She was Christian by faith and took comfort in the Lord’s constant presence in her life.
Surviving are her beloved brother, Jack Kelley of Washington; five dearly loved nieces, Sue Julos, Jo Lazek, Jane Neal, Tricia Kelley and Kris Krivanek; and five cherished nephews, Nick Julos, Jace Julos, Mike Julos, Jack Lazek and Jeff Lazek.
Deceased are two infant brothers, James Robert Kelley and Edward Jackson Kelley; and two sisters, Mary Jane Elizabeth Julos and Helen Joy Lazek.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 16th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
