Jeffrey William “Big Jeff” Davis, 68, of Washington, died Sunday, May 3, 2015, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born September 3, 1946, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late Benjamin and Mary Helen Roberts Davis.
Mr. Davis was a graduate of Wheeling High School was a veteran of the Army.
He worked as a coal miner and was affiliated with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
On April 3, 2004, he married Ethel Lorraine “Tiny” Wright, who survives.
Also surviving are several sons including Curtis Biddings, Brian Davis, Jerry Belt and Michael Wright; several daughters including Terri Belt-Walker, Diedre Meredith and Jocalyn Bush; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 9th, with Rev. Richard White officiating. Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 11th in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
