Elizabeth “Betty” McDade
Elizabeth “Betty” McDade, 79 of Washington, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at home.
She was born April 9, 1936 in Rochester, PA, the daughter of the late Walter Cochran Sr. and the Katherine Morris Cochran.
She was a graduate of Monaca High School and worked at Dixmont Hospital for 10 years and was co-owner of Zee Medical Supplies in Washington for 22 years.
She most recently attended Central Assembly of God.
Betty enjoyed crocheting, crafting, traveling and was an active Girl Scout Leader for many years.
On August 28, 1953 she married Richard E. McDade Sr., who died December 15, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth (Peggy) McDade of Alexandria, VA; two daughters, Virginia (Norman) McDade-Foster of Washington, Maribeth (Thomas) Moore of Wexford; two sisters, Mary Shaner of Monaca and Katherine Fisher of Spokane, WA; 11 grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca, Jennifer, Brian, Peggy, Melody, Christopher, Patrick, Matthew, Linda and Richard; 18 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Betsy McDade.
Deceased in addition to her husband are a son, Richard E. “Ric” McDade Jr.; a grandson, Jeremy McDade; three brothers, Walter Cochran Jr, David Cochran and George Cochran.
Friends will be received Friday, May 1, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Todd Stemple officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
