Rachel Fairchild Ware

Rachel Fairchild Fortney Ware, 95, of Washington, died Sunday, April 26, 2015, in her home. She was born May 6, 1919, in Fairmont, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lloyd Martin Fortney and Ollie Marie Fairchild Jones. Mrs. Ware was a graduate of Trinity High School and was employed at Hallmark for 20 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. On October 13, 1939, she married William Bernard "Bucky" Ware, who died March 6, 2013. Surviving are a son, Paul (Terri) Ware of Washington; a granddaughter, Megan (Zack) Hahr; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a son, Martin L. Ware. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 1, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Father William Feeney officiating.
