Walter John Daniel Beatty, 83, of Washington, died on Saturday, April 25, 2015, in his home.
He was born on January 28, 1932, in Hopewell Township, a son of Walter Charles and Elsie Clemens Beatty.
Mr. Beatty was a member of Washington Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church.
Walter was a farmer and a trucker, who owned and operated his own rig.
Mr. Beatty enjoyed hunting, motorcycles, fishing, attending auctions, and especially spending time with grandchildren.
On January 2, 1952, he married Patty Rhoades, who survives.
Also surviving, are two sons, Jim (Hope) Beatty, of Washington, and Walter Beatty, of Taylorstown; two daughters, Linda (Joe) Daniels, of Washington, and Charlotte Beatty, of McDonald; two sisters, Wanda (Norman) Boyd, of Avella, and Mary Hanlon, of Claysville; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, including a very special great granddaughter, Mya, and three great-great grandchildren.
Deceased, are a daughter, Deborah Beatty Wellman, a daughter-in-law, Robin Beatty, three grandchildren, James “Bubba” Beatty, Christy Beatty, and Jimmy Adams, two brothers, Alvie Louis Beatty, and Frank Robert Beatty, and a sister, Ruth Elsie Beatty.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 30, 2015, with Rev. David Price officiating.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
