Betty Lou Prosser Anderson, 77, of Washington, died April 23, 2015, in her home.
She was born November 29, 1937, in Washington, a daughter of James Prosser and Edith Pearl Hayes Prosser.
For 25 years, Mrs. Anderson worked at The Washington Hospital in the laundry and housekeeping departments.
She enjoyed yard sales and playing cards and Yahtzee, and was a member of the VFW, Slovak Club, Polish Club, Pulaski Club and Independent Club.
Mrs. Anderson was Protestant by faith.
On January 16, 1956, she married Donald E. Anderson, Sr., who died March 12, 1997.
Surviving are three daughters, Gladys Hamilton (William) of Paris, Ohio, Kimberly Schwingel (Larry “Pugs”) and Cheryl Anderson, both of Washington; a brother, James Prosser of Washington; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchildren; sons-in-law, Junior Miller and Bob Frost; brother- and sister-in-law, John and Nancy Anderson; brothers-in-law, Roger “Butch” Anderson and Melvin Ringer; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Donald Anderson, Jr.; three daughters, Sheri Lou Anderson, Tawnya Frost and Donna Anderson Miller; three grandchildren, Jessica Schwingel, Steven Smith, Jr., and Jamie Fuller; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Miller, William J. Hamilton III, and Christopher Whittington; three sisters, Loretta Dillie, Shirley Ringer, and Violet “Bunny” Keener; and a sister-in-law, Janet Prosser.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 28th, with Pastor Ronald Ringer officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
