James Joseph Falosk, Sr.

March 25, 1927 — April 12, 2015

James Joseph Falosk, Sr., 88, of Washington, died April 12, 2015, in the Washington Hospital. He was born March 25, 1927, in Washington, a son of the late Julius and Julia Pertz Falasco. Mr. Falosk attended Washington High School and was co-owner of Julia’s restaurant. During World War II, he served in the Navy and earned the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Falosk was a life member of VFW Post 927, American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175, Fraternal Order of Bears Lodge 83, Elks #776, and Anawanna Hunting and Fishing Club. He was an avid golfer and hunter and loved woodworking. Mr. Falosk was Catholic by faith. Surviving are his wife, Sara Hughes Falosk; two sons, James Joseph Falosk, Jr., (Lois) of Washington and William Falosk (Chaurita) of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Marion Crumrine of Washington; six grandchildren, James Falosk (Lynann), Michael Falosk (Amber), Matthew Falosk (Dana), Jeremy Falosk (Bridget), Eric Falosk and Nora Falosk; and five great-grandchildren. Deceased is a sister, Virginia Bradley. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 17th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
