Celia Jean Cunningham, 90 of Washington, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Donnell House.
She was born July 21, 1924 in Hanlin Station, PA, the daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine O’Palka Bania..
She worked at Woodville State Hospital as an aide for 20 years.
Celia enjoyed reading, bingo, traveling and was a Pittsburgh Sports Fan.
She worked as a Riviter in Detroit, MI, during World War II.
She married Norman Cunningham who died November 6, 1974.
Surviving are a son, Ronald Cunnginham of Altoona; a daughter, Kathleen (Alex) Petroski of Allison Park; four grandchildren, Michele (Donald) Wingard, Melissa (Jim) Fasenmyer, Denise Cunningham, Brian (Amie) Petroski; six great grandchildren, Meghan and Kaitlin Wingard, Josh , Nathan and Julia Fasenmyer and Hunter Miller.
Deceased are three sisters, Stella Zielinski, Julia Wilson, Lorreta DeGenaro.
Friends will be received Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 1 to 4 p.m. the time of a blessing service, with Father Thomas O’Neil as celebrant at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial is private.
