Dorothy J. Naser, 88, of Washington, died February 28, 2015, in Washington County Health Center.
She was born November 28, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of the late Ruth Hanam Foringer Amos and Albert Foringer.
After completing her education in the Washington School District, she was employed by the Bell Telephone Company, and later worked at Eighth Ward School in Washington School District.
Mrs. Naser enjoyed playing bingo with her sisters, working puzzles, and was an avid reader.
She was raised Presbyterian, but after her marriage, she attended First Lutheran Church.
She married Homer A. Naser on January 30, 1948, and was married 40 years before his death in January 1989.
Surviving are her children, Carol (William) Boardley of Washington, John (Michaeline) Naser of Cecil Township and James (Lori) Naser of Washington; grandchildren, Amy (Matthew) Watson of Mt. Washington, Brad Naser of Claysville, Matthew Boardley of Bridgeville, Zachary Naser of Washington and Justin Naser of Cecil Township; sisters-in-law, Virginia Naser and Ora Lee Foringer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Janice Sampson and Ruby Chaney; and three brothers, James Foringer, Duane Foringer and Lawrence Amos.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 4th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Washington County Health Center’s Activity Fund, 36 Old Hickory Ridge Road, Washington, PA 15301.
