Dorothy Josephine Patterson, 84, of Waynesburg, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, February 21, 2015, in Rolling Meadows, Waynesburg.
She was born September 15, 1930, in Lonaconing, Maryland, a daughter of the late Thomas and Emma Hutton Tucker.
Mrs. Patterson graduated from Washington High School in 1948, and worked at Washington Hospital for 26 years, 13 years in the admissions department and 13 years in the business office.
She enjoyed going to Bruceton Mills, West Virginia and Big Bear Lake Campground with her family.
Mrs. Patterson was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church.
On March 11, 1951, she married William Clair Patterson, who died July 12, 2014.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol Ann (Keith) DiPiazza of Monessen, Donna Lee Phillips of Washington and Patti Sue (Gregg) Wolf of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Sheridan B. McWreath III, Joshua Phillips, Cody Phillips, Emily Wolf, Abby Wolf and Sarah Wolf; and five great-grandchildren, Sydney Jo McWreath, Lilly, William and Ryder Phillips, and Emma Phillips.
Deceased are a brother, Kenneth Tucker; and two sisters, Mildred Shivley and Betty LaVelle.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 2nd, with Pastor George Garancosky officiating.
