Janet Louise Hutter Prosser, 70, of Washington, died Saturday, February 21, 2015, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born November 25, 1944, in Washington, a daughter of the late Charles Hutter and Anna Jones Hutter.
Mrs. Prosser attended Washington High School and was a homemaker. She loved bingo, yard sales and time spent with family.
Mrs. Prosser was a member of First United Methodist Church, Canonsburg.
On November 25, 1961, she married James W. Prosser, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, James (Rose Mary) Prosser of Washington; a daughter, Marcie (Kevin) Adams of Washington; a sister, Margaret Phillips of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, Julia (Kyle) Winters, James (Bobbi Jo) Prosser II, Jannah Adams, Michael Prosser II, Matthew Prosser and Brandon Prosser; seven great-grandchildren, Morgan, Kyle and Kamryn Winters, and Cody, Alexis, James and Sadie Prosser.
Deceased are a son, Michael Prosser; five brothers, Charles, George, David, John “Butch,” and Edward Hutter; and three sisters, Helen Mellars, Mary Waycoff and Marcella Mazza.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4 till 5 p.m., Thursday, February 26th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m., with Pastor Debbi Rogosky officiating.
