Thelma H. Alrutz, 94 formerly of Washington, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Davenport Hall in Charleroi. She was born July 18, 1920 in Meadowlands the daughter of the late John C. Craig and Ida Coleman Craig. She attended Washington High School and worked at Albert’s Meat Packing for 25 years. Thelma was a member of Fairhill Manor for 76 years. She also was a member of Loyal Order of Moose #22 Auxiliary, Taylorstown American Legion Auxiliary, Pulaski Club. She enjoyed word search books and volunteering at the Senior Citizens Center. On June 29, 1938 she married Russell F. Hutson, who died September 18, 1976. On February 18, 1989, she married Ralph Eugene Alrutz, who died July 3, 2009. Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Kenneth) Lee Parry of Massillion, OH, Sandra Andrews of Washington; a brother, Edwin Craig of Washington; four grandchildren, Brian Keith Baer, Jonathan F. Parry, Holly Lynn Hall, Heidi (Bryan) N. Restorick; great grandchildren, Shiloh (Clay) D. Burns, Chance T. Hall, Morgan Baer, Gabriel Baer. Deceased are two brothers, John and Harold Craig; a sister Donna Jean Rock. Friends will be received Tuesday, February 24th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Wednesday, February 25th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
