James Elmer Kisner, 72 of Washington, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at his home.
He was born October 14, 1942 in Washington the son of the late Ernest Kisner and Gladys Phillips Kisner.
James was a graduate of Washington High School and worked as a crane man and slab cutter at Jessop Steel, then Washington Steel and retired from Allegheny Ludlam.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and time with family. Musically talented, he played multiple instruments, guitar, mandolin and bass to name a few and was part of various local bands though out the years.
On May 7, 1963 he married Beverly Lusher who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James (Danielle) Kisner of Washington, Dan (Nicole) Kisner of Washington; two daughters, Jodi (Randal Gilliland) Closser of Thomasville, NC, Jill (Kevin) Brownlee of Avella; three brothers, Donald Kisner of Eighty Four, Richard Kisner of Ohio, Joseph Kisner of Canonsburg; a sister, Joyce Lusher of Avella; five granddaughters; two grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Margaret Tebolt and Mildred Gatten; a brother, Roy Kisner.
Friends will be received Friday, February 20th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Saturday, February 21st at 1:00 p.m.
