Carl Thomas Holmes Jr.

Carl Holmes, Jr.,, 59 of Washington, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Washington Hospital. He was born December 30, 1955 in Washington the son of the late Carl Thomas Holmes Sr. and Opal McBee Holmes. Carl graduated from McGuffey High School and worked for West Penn Wire. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Taylorstown, the Independent Club and enjoyed playing cards. Surviving are a brother, Jack (Ruth) Homes of Washington; two sisters, Erma Gray and Barbara Cage both of Washington; an aunt; Connie Dias; several nieces and nephews including Amy Williams with whom he made his home. Deceased in addition to his parents are three brothers, James, Walter and Thomas Holmes; two sisters, Evelyn Morris and Mary Georgie. Friends will be received Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 2 to 6 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Burial is private.
