James Onesko, 85, of Washington, died Monday, January 26, 2015, in Washington County Health Center, following a seven-month illness.
He was born July 12, 1929, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Mary Onesko.
Mr. Onesko was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church and the Polish Club. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling with his wife.
Mr. Onesko worked at Washington Steel for 36 years, retiring in 1992.
He was married to Irene Tarsia, who survives, on May 28, 1950, in Holy Trinity National Catholic Church by the late Rev. Benjamin Mazewski.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter-in-law, Pamela Onesko of Westerville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are two sons, Dennis Onesko, who died in 1977, and Gary Onesko, who died in 2008.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 29th, with Father Mark Swoger officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
