Lloyd M. Allen

Lloyd M. Allen, 81, of Washington, died Friday, January 23, 2015, in Donnell House. He was born July 16, 1933, in Washington, a son of Tony Allen and Ida Mae Dillie Allen. Mr. Allen worked as a union carpenter with Local 541 for more than 50 years. He was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church. On June 9, 1971, he married Diana Angott, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joshua Allen and David Allen (Sandra), both of Washington; one daughter, Christina Goodwin (Shawn) of Washington; a brother, Ted Allen of Washington; two grandsons, Gabriel Martinson and Noah Martinson; a granddaughter, Jessica Rye; and a great-grandson, Brayden Rye. Deceased are a grandson, Shawn Allen; a sister, Louise Powell; and three brothers, Leroy, Everett and Cecil Allen. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 28th, with Rev. Dr. Susan VandeKappelle officiating. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
