Charles M. Philp, 77, of Washington, died Thursday, January 22, 2015, in Washington Hospital.
He was born March 26, 1937, in Deemston Borough, a son of the late Nelson and Charlotte Baker Philp.
Mr. Philp graduated from Centerville High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh for three years.
He worked at Ross Mold for 25 years, retiring in 2005 as manager of manufacturing. Prior to Ross Mold, he worked at Westinghouse and Penn Mold.
Mr. Philp was a member of the Alpine and Polish Clubs and enjoyed golfing, bowling, yard work and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was Protestant by faith.
On April 24, 1982, he married Dale Dever, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Charles Philp, Jr., (Janet) of Eighty Four and Wesley Philp (Sue) of Martinsville, West Virginia; three stepsons, Michael Funk of Verona, Mark (Cheryl) Funk of Cranberry Township and Dan Funk of Washington; two stepdaughters, Linda Paxton (Jeff) of Houston and Cathi Caleffie (Dennis) of Washington; a brother, Nelson Leander Philp (Charylene) of Shippenville; 17 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Wayne, and a sister, Norma.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation.
