James Richard Prigg, Sr.

October 20, 1951 — January 19, 2015

James Richard Prigg, Sr., 63, of Washington, died Monday, January 19, 2015, in the Washington Hospital. He was born October 20, 1951, in Erie, a son of Marion Rosner Prigg of Pittsburgh and the late William Prigg. Mr. Prigg served in the Air Force from March 12, 1971, until his honorable discharge on July 3, 1972, with a rank of Airman First Class. After his discharge, he served in the Air National Guard of Pennsylvania and the Air Force Reserves for four years. Mr. Prigg was owner/operator of Quality Electrical Services from 1990 to 2008. He was a member of Beth Israel Temple, American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175, the National Society of Electrical Contractors, Washington County Homebuilders Association, and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Prigg was an avid sportsman and fly fisherman who supported Trout Unlimited. On August 29, 1974, he married Kathy White, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, James B. Stainbrook (Michelle) of St. Clairsville, Ohio and James R. Prigg, Jr., of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Billie Jo Camacho (Jorge) of Sunrise, Florida and Sherry Taylor (Graham) of New Eagle; three brothers, Thomas Prigg (Vickie) of Washington, David Prigg (Bonnie) of Avella and Timothy Prigg of Washington; two sisters, Susan Clemens (David) of Washington and Sandra Monteverde (Bob) of Pittsburgh; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Military rites will be accorded at the funeral home by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
