Jean B. Moninger, 83, of Washington, died Sunday, January 11, 2015, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township, following a lengthy illness.
She was born February 3, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of Dominick and Mary Mazzie Bonus.
Mrs. Moninger was a graduate of Washington High School and a longtime member of Christian Church of North America.
For more than 20 years, she worked in sales at Learner's in Franklin Mall, now known as Washington Crown Center.
On March 20, 1954, she married Howard Merle Moninger, who died June 2, 1970.
Surviving are a son, Timothy H. (Lori) Moninger of Washington; a daughter, Marjorie J. McClenathan of Washington; a brother, Jack Bonus of Zelienople; two sisters, Helen B. Craig and Sandy J. (Earl) Redd, both of Washington; five grandchildren, Timothy (Jenifer) Moninger Jr., Michael (Kaisi Ritter) Moninger, and Cory, Ryan and Jacob McClenathan; and three great-grandchildren, Julieanne Moninger, Tyler Moninger and Benjamin Garrison.
Deceased is a sister, Peg Shaw.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, with Pastor Rob Berk officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
