Clyde L. “Buck” Noble, 65, of Holbrook, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
He was born September 22, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late Boyd Leslie Noble and Alice Ruth Estel Noble.
Mr. Noble worked at Universal Cyclops in Bridgeville and as a mechanic at Washington Ford.
He served in the Marine Corps from September 28, 1967, until his honorable discharge on September 25, 1970, with a rank of Lance Corporal. For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Unit Commendation, and Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm.
Surviving are a son, Christopher (Laura) Noble of Waynesburg; a daughter, Heather (Jay) Umphrey of West Middletown; two brothers, Chuck Noble of Arizona and Mike (Debbie) Noble of Claysville; a sister, Judith (Mike) Mance of Cokeburg; five grandchildren, Jesse, Dakota, Harley, David and Chevelle; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at Noon, Monday, January 12th, with Rev. Steven Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
